J Koz has Polish-American heritage and was raised in a family that moved every few years in the great American military fashion.
     Growing up, J Koz was always catching toads, lizards and bugs; her Mother was a great influence on her interest and excitement of creatures big and small.
     The collection and preservation of bugs as a hobby came about after returning to Florida around 2005. With all the diverse flora and fauna around, there was a burning desire to share it with others!
     She began painting with acrylics on canvas in 2009 and is known to add unique mixed media to intriguing pieces. There are dozens of Nature Art pieces and over 50 paintings on stretched canvas and canvas board in the JKozArt collection.
     She also has great interest in gardening, reading, and photography that focuses on nature, still life, and architecture. Currently, J Koz is a volunteer and supporter of community radio in Tampa, Florida, at WMNF 88.5 FM (wmnf.org) and also takes her amazing miniature schnauzer pup to facilities for therapy support to those in need of a smile.
